Summer Wilson lives with her husband, Scott and four children, Karenna, Jolie, Adrianna, and Jaden in the Landen area, north of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Background Experience: Summer has worked as a doula, Bradley Method childbirth educator, prenatal yoga instructor, postpartum home health nurse, and apprentice midwife .
Education: Summer graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Cincinnati, and graduated in 2005 with a Masters degree in Midwifery from the learning at-a-distance midwifery program at Midwifery Institute of Philadelphia University.
Credentials: Due to the present situation that prevents Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) from attending homebirths in this area, Summer has chosen not obtain a CNM license. The Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential is available through the North American Registry of Midwives for homebirth midwives, and is the basis for licensure in many states.
